FAQ: Why We Have a No Children & Pets Policy
We understand that childcare and scheduling can be challenging. This policy is not about inconvenience. It is about safety, medical standards, and quality of care.
Why can’t I bring my child for a quick appointment?
Even brief medical visits involve needles, medications, lasers, and clinical procedures that require full focus from both the provider and patient. Any distraction increases risk and reduces the quality and safety of your care.
Why can’t my child wait in the lobby?
Our clinic is a medical environment, not a supervised waiting space. Our administrative team is not permitted or trained to supervise children, and we cannot assume responsibility for a child’s safety in a clinical setting.
Why can’t my child come into the treatment room?
Treatment rooms require undivided attention, sterile procedures, and controlled environments. Having a child present creates safety risks, increases liability, and compromises the provider’s ability to focus fully on your care.
Why are pets not allowed?
Medical clinics must maintain infection control standards and safe clinical environments. Pets introduce unpredictable risks and are not appropriate in treatment settings.
Are service animals allowed?
Yes. ADA-defined service animals are always permitted.
We may ask ADA-permitted questions to confirm service animal status.
Emotional support animals, therapy animals, and pets do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
Why is the policy strict with no exceptions?
Safety standards, medical liability, and clinical care do not change based on appointment length, treatment type, or circumstance. Consistency protects patients, families, staff, and providers.
What happens if I arrive with a child or pet?
If your appointment cannot proceed, it will be cancelled or rescheduled and treated as a late cancellation or no-show in accordance with our clinic policy. Applicable fees may apply.
