Pre and Post Care: Ultrasound Cavitation
(Face and Body Sculpting)

Pre-Care Instructions: Ultrasound Cavitation & Radio Frequency Treatments

To achieve the best possible results from your ultrasound cavitation and radio frequency (RF) body sculpting treatments, please follow the guidelines below:

1. Hydrate Well

  • Start increasing your water intake at least 2–3 days prior to your appointment.

  • Aim for at least 128 oz (about 16 glasses) of water daily.

  • Proper hydration is crucial to help your body metabolize and flush out the broken-down fat cells.

2. Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine

  • Avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine for at least 48 hours before and after your treatment.

  • Alcohol and caffeine dehydrate the body and can impair your lymphatic system, making it harder to eliminate fat cells.

 

3. Healthy Diet

  • Follow a low-carb, low-sugar, high-protein diet leading up to your session.

  • Avoid heavy meals, processed foods, and high-sugar foods 24 hours before treatment.

 

4. Activity

  • Incorporate light exercise before your appointment if possible. Physical activity helps stimulate lymphatic drainage and boosts fat metabolism.

 

5. Medications

  • Please inform your provider of any medications you are currently taking, especially blood thinners or anti-inflammatory drugs.

  • Do not take anti-inflammatory medications (like ibuprofen) the day of the treatment unless otherwise instructed.

 

6. Menstrual Cycle

  • If you are menstruating, be aware that hormonal changes can cause bloating and water retention, which may temporarily affect your body's appearance and measurements.

  • Treatments are still safe and effective during your cycle, but you may notice temporary swelling or reduced visible results immediately following your session.

 

7. Skin Preparation

  • Arrive with clean, dry skin. Avoid applying lotions, creams, oils, or self-tanners to the treatment area on the day of your appointment.

 

8. Clothing

  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing on your treatment day to avoid unnecessary pressure on treated areas.

Post-Care Plan Key Instructions

  • Soreness on the treated area after day 2-3 is common. This is called DOMS - delayed onset muscle soreness. This is similar to feeling sore a couple of days after a deep tissue massage.

  • Keep it consistent with hydration, diet, and exercise for best results!

  • Apply compression garment for 24 hours up to 3 days post treatment (except when showering).

 

Detailed Instructions

  • Hydrate: Drink 2L+ of water daily to flush out toxins.

  • Avoid Alcohol: Up to 48 hours post-treatment.

  • Exercise: Please exercise 20 minutes post treatment as tolerated.

  • Massage: Gently massage treated areas to boost fat breakdown.

  • Vibrating Plate: Use for 10 minutes, 2x/day as a warm-up or cool-down.

  • Next Session: Book your next session every 5 to 7 days until the end of series.

  • Moisturize: Keep skin hydrated with moisturizer.

  • Remember: What you put in is what you get. Consistency is key!

 

Vibrating Plate Use

  • 10 minutes, 2x/day to improve circulation, enhance lymphatic drainage, and support muscle toning.

  • Can be used before/after treatments or as a workout supplement.
